The College of Business Education offers programs designed to meet the growing demands of business, industry, and government. It offers the following academic programs:
Business Education Program
This program leads to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Management Accounting, Human Resource Development Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Operations Management. It aims to provide the students with:
- Christian moral and spiritual values as the foundation for social and economic enterprise;
- The highest standards of academic excellence in course work and activities of the College;
- A common foundation of knowledge concerning modern business through a core program consisting of general and professional education;
- Sufficient exposure to relate academic instruction to the realities of the business world;
- Adequate training to prepare the graduate for fruitful employment and/or guide him towards entrepreneurship or self-employment and to be globally competitive; and
- Motivation for professional growth to prepare the graduate for executive leadership.
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)
General Program Description
The Business Administration program is designed to produce graduates that possess a familiarity with business operations and critical thinking skills in decision-making, as well as a solid foundation in the strategies and the level and scope of work necessary for competing in the ever-changing world of global business in the various domains of business administration. It further empowers students by providing them with a basic and clear understanding of the functions of every division in a company, whether in the marketing, finance, operation, human resources, hospitality, or office management areas. Training provided in this program emphasizes leadership skills, thus preparing the students for a managerial and supervisory positions. At the same time, it stresses the importance of being able to work well with a group and within an organization.
General Program Outcomes
A graduate of BSBA should be able to:

- Use interpersonal skills appropriately depending on the socio-economic and cultural situation of the business enterprise
- Employ critical thinking in the analysis of different situations in the various areas of business, with consideration for their existing economic relations in the global economic environment as well as the economic realities from an open and global

BSBA Major in Human Resources
Program Description
The program focuses on employee selection, training, management development, industrial relation, compensation and the dynamics of organizational behaviour. It is designed to assist managers in the development of skills and competencies for employees to acquire good positions and become competitive and responsive to global change.

BSBA major in Operations Management
Program Description
The program prepares the students to manage the day-to-day operation of business, and helps develop their proficiency at processes involved in the production and distribution of goods and delivery of services, inventory, logistics and managing the equipment and facilities used to run businesses.

A graduate of BSBA (major in Operations Management) should be able to:
- Exercise dynamism, commitment, morality, and social responsibility as future operations managers for social and economic enterprises.
- Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills in product creation, development, distribution, and analysis of internal processes.

BSBA major in Marketing Management
Specific Program Description
The program deals with the nature, scope, and role of marketing in the growth of the economy and in helping attain sustainability of a decent standard of living. The marketing concepts and specialized activities like marketing research, selling and product planning and development are designed to prepare students to become pro - active participants in the lucrative world of business.
Specific Program Outcomes
A graduate of BSBA (major in Marketing Management) should be able to:
- Exercise dynamism, commitment, morality, and social responsibility as future marketing managers for social and economic enterprises.
- Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills proficiency in the principles and concepts of marketing, and sales strategies.
- Use interpersonal skills with sensitivity and according to cultural and social sensibilities, as a foundation for one’s own eventual social and economic enterprises.
- Organize and manage small-scale entrepreneurial activities as practice and preparation for eventual self-employment, should one so decide.
- Demonstrate an understanding of computer applications and proficiency with the managerial applications of internet technology .

- Create, introduce and promote products using various tools and techniques from traditional to the more technologically advanced ones.
BSBA Major in Financial Management
Specific Program Description
The program aims to prepare the students for positions of financial management by providing a strong foundation in theory principles and concepts, as well as analytical tools that will equip them with skills in making sound financial and investment decisions, and allow them to position themselves competitively in their profession. Students will also learn about how financial institutions produce and grow profits, how prices of goods and services are set, how to manage assets and liabilities, and the different government regulations that have a direct effect on business.
Specific Program Outcomes
A graduate of BSBA (major in Financial Management) should be able to:
- Manifest competence, dynamism, commitment, a sense of morality, and social responsibility in classroom situations and in off-classroom co-curricular activities as future finance managers.
- Demonstrate analytical skills and depth of perception to make sound financial decision making in the business world.
- Choose and utilize the correct tools and methodologies to solve financial management problems including developing financial plans and the use of different financial strategies.
- Apply appropriate financial management techniques for promoting accountability , sustainability and organizational effectiveness.
- Employ ethical approaches in the analysis of business and organizational situations for financial decision making.
- Select and use the appropriate and latest information and communication technology in given case studies
- Present financial data in an organized manner, whether in speech or in writing, when creating presentations involving business growth, development and sustainability.
Bachelor of Science in Office Management
This program is geared towards the preparation of efficient secretaries to adequately meet the growing demands of manpower in business, industry, government service, and educational institutions. This program aims to provide the students with:
- A common foundation of knowledge and understanding of modern business through a core program consisting of general education and professional secretarial education/administration courses;
- Academic instruction relevant to the realities of office administration;
- Adequate training to make the secretarial course graduates immediately employable and/or able to engage in entrepreneurship activity; and
- Proper motivation for professional growth.
Courses in the curriculum will familiarize students with current techniques in office practice and procedures, developments in office systems and technology, good team working and management skills, and application of the principles of good human relations and communications to prepare them to be key players in day to day office operations. Lessons in writing routine reports and correspondence and speaking effectively to employers, employees, and the general public are provided in selected courses.
Program Outcomes
A graduate of BS Office Management of Northern Christian College should be able to:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to high-level executives guided by the Code of Ethics for Office Professionals.
- Organize files, information and office supplies effectively
- Utilize information technology applications and apply information and communication technology skills as required by the business environment.
- Apply management skills in all areas of the business industry.
- Promote the development of the whole person for better and more abundant life to be shared with others.
Hospitality Management
The program is geared towards the preparation of students to adequately meet the growing demands of the tourism program of the government and the tourism, hotel and restaurant industry. This leads to a ladderized course, two-year certificate leading to the Associate in Hospitality Management; and four-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. The program aims to provide the students with:
- A common foundation of knowledge and understanding of the modern business through a core program consisting of general education and professional education in tourism, hotel and restaurant technology;
- Sufficient exposure to related academic instruction relevant to the realities of the business world;
- An adequate training to make the hospitality management course graduates immediately employable and/or able to engage in entrepreneurship undertakings;
- A well-rounded personality as basic and indispensable asset of hospitality management course graduate; and
- Proper motivation for professional growth.
Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management
Program Description
The field of study will equip students with competencies that needed to execute operational tasks and management functions in food production (culinary), accommodation, food and beverage service, tourism planning, and product development, events planning, transportation services, travel and tour operations and other emerging sectors of hospitality and tourism industry.
